Vintage hand knotted Turkish mini rug.

This little tribal rug is from southern Turkey and was hand knotted using wool, cotton and natural dyes. To me, the natural tones have an almost jute-like, sunbleached appearance. A lovely floral pattern adds little pops of colour and interest. The rug has a particularly faded and worn look and slightly irregular shape as you can see, but this is all part of its charm. A perfect way to add warmth and a one of a kind touch to a kitchen, bathroom, entry or other small space.

All of our rugs are at least 40 years old and due to their age and handmade nature, most have signs of fading, wear or even repairs. Their dimensions and shape are also often not perfectly uniform. This means each rug is truly one of a kind with its own unique quirks, which are not regarded as flaws but rather add to the authenticity and charm of these beautiful textiles.
